Technique:
Neel integrates physical theatre with modern dance and African
dance.Her own dance style becomes through the years more visible.

The lessons are accompanied by percussionist Ibou N'Diaye Rose..

In her working with people, Neel pays attention to:
- authenticity of movement and expression
- psychic presence inside the body that moves
- transparency of the individual
- flow and grace, which according to Neel includes training in
being ugly.

Neel studied at the theatre-academy in Maastricht and also she
studied dance in London at the Laban institute for Movement and
Dance. For years she had lessons in African dance. She was a
performer at theater Beest en Zoo and she formed with others the
dance/theatre company Rhijnsburger, de Jong en Wynn. She gives
dance classes for 20 years now. Senegalese percussionists accompany

ROTTERDAM:
Tusday evenings: from 21.00 – 22.30 uur, both lessons are given in
the studio of Danceworks Rotterdam, ’s Gravendijkwal 58a.
DEN HAAG:
Friday evenings: from 17.15 – 18.45 uur in ’t Syndicaat, Nieuwe
Molstraat 10

Price: 12 lessons 200,- euro, incl. live-percussion.

In Septmeber 2008, all courses start again.You can step in during
the year.
